Getting to Know Your Therapist
Hello! Welcome to Doherty Mental Health Services. Getting to know one another is an important part of the therapeutic relationship, so let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born and raised in Rochester, New York. I am very familiar with all things Rochester-related, and if you know anything about Rochester, you know that there is a lot of different things that go on in this part of the state. I am a HUGE animal lover, and I especially love owls, which is one of the main reasons it is part of my logo. I currently reside in the area with my husband, our daughter, our two dogs (Maya and Cooper), and our rabbit (Reese). In my free time, I love to read (lately, it has been listening to audiobooks or podcasts), watch hockey, or watch Netflix - I am a huge true crime fan and I love stand up comedy specials!
And because all ice breakers include fun facts, a fun fact about me is that I can say the alphabet backward!
Educational Background
Jenna earned her BA in Psychology with a minor in Biology from St. John Fisher University (formally St. John Fisher College). She went on to earn her master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher University (formally St. John Fisher College).
Doherty Mental Health Services

Skills and Approach
Jenna has offered person-centered care to adolescents and adults (13+) in outpatients settings with a variety of life concerns. She wants to make sure that she is helping her clients identify the goals and aspects in their life that mean the most to them.
